Job description

Purpose

  • Develop & execute the Country Seeds Field Crop distribution strategy from planting through distribution and returns.
  • Develop and execute measures to meet Seeds business plans, customer service, levels, and lead supply chain team.
  • Supports Syngenta’s Seeds business strategies through collaborative work with operations teams and commercial sales teams.

Accountabilities

  • E2E Seeds Supply Chain responsibility including Supply Planning and S&OP
  • Develop & execute distribution strategy from planting through distribution and returns for domestic and export
  • Develop and execute measures to meet business plans, customer service and lead supply planning
  • Ensure inventory status (field and physical) is categorized and visible for usage in productions scheduling, allocations & providing information on N+1 usable Vs reserve
  • Product release criterion/market specs are aligned with Commercial
  • COGP optimization and reduction variances
  • Develop allocation strategies that align with segmented supply strategies for inventory flexibility and c/o management (executed by correct process orders)
  • Develop organizationally aligned goals and metrics for measuring effectiveness.
  • Establish Country specific segmented supply strategies, managed via BPR & dashboard performance metrics & methods.
  • Ensures that order fulfilment levels and distribution costs meet business goals.
  • Lead cultural changes as needed to implement a new organization that fulfils overall company goals.
  • Ensures effective collaboration with Regional Planning group for N+1 processes.
  • Ensures effective collaborations with sales & marketing for current year sales/utilization data, appropriate metrics & measurements, data flows and accountability. Ensure inventory status (both field and physical) is categorized and visible for usage.
  • Champion continuous improvement: evaluate current state, identify opportunities, and facilitate the actions needed to achieve Syngenta strategic intent.
  • Assist Regional Planning with alignment of practices for cross country/regional business processes.
  • Be the key focal point with Global/regional supply chain, logistics, customer service, and S&OP
  • Enable and support governance for IT/ digitization initiatives
  • Support building supply capabilities within country supply chain and knowledge sharing/leveraging between countries in AMEA region

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required. Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in production planning, sales processes, supply chain principles, order fulfilment and production scheduling, including SAP/R3’s is required.
  • 5+ years of people management experience required.
  • Supply Chain APIC’s best practices, Control Tower concepts and application
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams where success is interdependent upon good cooperation and performing as ‘one’ overall team.
  • Ability to develop consensus on tough issues and reach rapid decisions with stakeholders.
  • Innovative thinking and application of appropriate measurements for guiding continuous improvement.
