The candidate in this position will be responsible for driving biological and digital innovation within the organization, by performing specialized research tasks in cross-functional program areas. The candidate will supply crucial technical and digital support to research scientists, to enable effective planning and execution of diverse R&D trials. Besides performing both standard and non-standard research assignments, the candidate is contributing to innovation and sustainability efforts by devoting complementary technical knowledge, such as engineering, digital expertise, and biotechnology know-how.
Duties:
- Support R&D trials and collaborate with digital product biologists in collecting, processing, and interpreting remote sensing data.
- Work with R&D scientists to provide support in laboratory, greenhouse, and field trials (trial planning, refining application methods, data collection).
- Functions as digital champion on site and act as main contact point to digital product development stakeholders.
- Effectively contribute to project planning and execution by defining experimental objectives and seek continuous improvement of R&D processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements.
- Carry out routine or bespoke experimental trials.
- Generate high quality biology data to support the development of new crop protection solutions.

Qualifications
- B.S. in biology, agriculture, ag biotech or similar field, or A.S. degree in agriculture, biotechnology or similar with 4 years’ experience as technician.
- Proficiency developed through job-related training and/or considerable on-the-job experience.
- FAA remote pilot license of advantage.
- Agricultural engineering, or biotechnology know-how with an affinity for digital and remote sensing technologies.
- High scientific rigor and resilience to adapt to dynamic project requests.
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
