To support this mission, Syngenta’s Regulatory Seeds Team is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist in Santa Isabel (Santa Fe), Venado Tuerto, (Santa Fe), or Buenos Aires (CABA or GBA) This role will lead the processes related to field trials permitting and compliance regulated activities in Argentina and Chile. Will also Provide support to business functions involved in regulated activities and interface with internal (e.g., Quality Management, R&D, Field Production) and external (e.g., Associations, Agencies) stakeholders as appropriate.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the regulatory submissions and compliance management for GMO field trials, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and monitoring compliance activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulated materials management, building strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and representing the company before industry associations and authorities.
  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance training programs for internal stakeholders and third parties, providing ongoing support and educational resources.
  • Manage regulatory systems and processes, including Regulatory One platform administration, while conducting risk-based assessments of regulated trial programs.
  • Provide strategic support to business units (R&D, Production & Supply) by translating requirements into practical submission plans and sharing best practices across the global compliance community.

Qualifications

Required

  • A higher education degree (agriculture, molecular biology, biotechnology or related background).
  • At least 5 years’ Experience with regulatory compliance, management of regulated GM materials and/or work with regulations.
  • Experience working in a multi-culture and multi-discipline team environment
  • Familiarity with quality management systems
  • Knowledge on how the legal environment, political and public perceptions impact regulations of technology in agriculture is desired.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and interpersonal), ability to influence and gain support.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and prioritize information and to interpret and apply business needs.
  • Leadership potential, dedication to meet the expectations of internal customers and requirements of regulatory authorities.
  • Strong digital skills
  • Communicational English level.
  • Travel Requirements: domestic travel required (≤ 25%)
