Syngenta is currently running a Source to Pay Implementation program utilizing Ariba on demand platform and looking for a regional PMO & E-Sourcing lead. The position reports to the EAME Regional Procurement Operations Manager within Syngenta. The regional PMO & E-Sourcing lead is responsible for leading key regional and global procurement projects and in addition will be responsible for driving the E-Sourcing initiative within North America.

Syngenta Selected candidate will be based out of NA with adhoc travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a Project Management approach for NA and selected Global initiatives within Global Procurement Operations with a primary focus on Process & Technology improvements
  • Maintain a full view of the transformation and change portfolio associated with each initiative, ensuring that all projects risks and issues, business demand and delivery challenges are managed at the Procurement Operations level
  • Coordinate multiple projects running in parallel, assessing the priority of the overall portfolio and escalating issues/concerns accordingly and ensuring that all projects are progressing according to timelines, targets and expectations
  • Successful delivery of the agreed projects within time, quality, and cost constraints
  • Partner with the Procurement Leadership Team members to effectively plan for future requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with key stakeholders and senior management both within and across the organisation, ensuring smooth running and delivery of all projects
  • Work closely with the Global Change and Transformation Lead to drive a portfolio of projects 
  • Work closely with Key regional stakeholders to co-develop Procurement Strategies that utilise and leverage e-Sourcing technology – Establish yourself as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Ariba e-Sourcing
  • Baseline targets with Global Procurement leadership for regional e-Sourcing utilisation and report against them monthly
  • Work closely with the Global Category managers and provide guidance on E-Sourcing opportunities and approaches
  • Partner with Change Management and L&D team to develop communication strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Able to initiate, grow and maintain strong working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to interact with sensitivity and diplomacy with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of Project Management
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement function
  • Procurement Category Management experience
  • Experience in Supplier relationship management including negotiations
  • Familiar with Procure to Pay processes, especially Source to Order
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyse data and resolve problems
