Note:  This position is 100% onsite in Slater, IA or Malta, IL or Stanton, MN

The Senior Facilities Lead will be responsible for leading facility management across North America Seeds Development including implementation of our footprint and facilities strategy. This includes evolving our management and investment in our building, grounds, cleaning, and security to create a work environment where Syngenta employees can contribute at their highest potential, delivering innovative contributions to the business in safe, sustainable, efficient, and most effective way.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for people management including hiring, leading, and developing team members to support the team and organization’s success
  • Lead team implementation and communications of the NA Seeds Development footprint and facilities strategy.
  • Lead team in evaluation of building, grounds, cleaning, security, and other services to drive a safe, efficient, and effective faculty management program with proper Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) including CBRE contractual alignment.
  • Maintain and foster stakeholder engagement across NA Seeds Development sites.
  • Oversee preparation, management, and alignment of FM budgets.
  • Liaison for NA Seeds Development with other functions (Global Facilities, Global Seeds Development, Engineering and Procurement) to ensure proper overall management, investment, and governance of facility operations
  • Lead team in vendor selection and business partner relationship to continuously identify improvements to the service provided and areas where savings are made without reducing service quality.
  • Lead team and/or own infrastructure investments managed by engineering and/or CBRE to drive stakeholder management, ensure continued scope alignment and project success
  • Lead communications with global and regional real estate to ensure proper alignment and tracking of facility ownership, leasing terms, and locations.

Qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in building or facilities management
  • Experience in facilities operations in a commercial and/ or R&D environment is desirable
  • Experience in working across diverse groups
  • Experience in impacting change without direct authority
  • Experience leading a team and managing budgets
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Drive, energy, and passion to advance Syngenta’s mission
