Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with the various business stakeholders to ensure that Indirect Procurement delivers savings to the P/L on a consistent and sustainable basis
  • Develop, validate and implement a sustainable IT Category strategy with alignment to business requirements for the NA Region
  • Lead the negotiation of commercial agreements with review and support from both the stakeholder and the Legal function
  • Explain the need to minimize risks through the understanding of Syngenta’s requirements and identification of appropriate suppliers to our stakeholders
  • Ensure savings pipeline is updated and accurate for reporting of savings
  • Demonstrate the highest ethical standards and ensure Syngenta procedures are adopted and followed
  • Identify and surface new options or opportunities to help Syngenta support the end customer

 

     

 

 


Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Technical or Business field
  • Minimum of 2 years Procurement experience with the ability to understand the total cost of ownership to generate cost savings
  • Knowledge of market trends including IT Application Development & Management, Network Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Hardware and Software
  • Good understanding of Category Management approaches and techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Procurement policies and procedures

 Preferred Skills

  • MBA and/or CPSM/CPM desired but not required
  • Ability to develop partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible to change priorities and support various categories of spend and stakeholders
  • Understanding of Global matrix organizations and how to work within the matrix
  • Project leadership skills
  • Clear communication and presentation competencies
  • Knowledge of contract elements
  • Strong ability to influence peers, stakeholders and suppliers Understanding of the international business environment
  • Ability to utilize analytical data to make sound business decisions
