Job description

  • Report any incidents, near misses, hazards, unsafe acts, and observations, and consult with your supervisor on any safety-related matters.
  • Take personal ownership to achieve 'Goal Zero' in HSE categories and maintain reasonable care for your own safety.
  • Report HSEQ observations, near-misses, and nonconformities that impact the quality of our products and operations, taking effective actions to prevent quality incidents.
  • Maintain Quality Management System practices to manage processes and risks as well as ensure compliance.
  • Follow the Site Quality Policy and Global QCoP guidelines with a consistent emphasis on quality as a key enabler to deliver customer value.
  • Ensure the quality of formulated and imported finished products, Active Ingredients, Auxiliaries, and Packing Materials through analysis/testing as per company specifications.
  • Keep all equipment in good running condition, including maintaining internal calibration.
  • Conduct analytical method validation with the help of  Quality Manager.
  • Conduct analytical method validation with the help of the Quality Manager
  • Conduct online toolbox awareness sessions for shop floor employees
  • Perform in-process checking and ensure product changeover as per SOP in compliance with RIRA guidelines
  • Issue work permits and provide safety briefings to workers before any risky jobs
  • Keep references of samples, analytical records, and related documents
  • Maintain the stock of chemicals and related materials required for analysis
  • Create awareness among shop floor employees about health, hygiene, and housekeeping to ensure proper and systematic maintenance
  • Ensure regular discussion sessions on product hazards, risk symbols, precautionary measures, and safety requirements during handling in the fill and pack process with shop floor employees
  • Maintain strong collaboration with Site Leadership Team and Regional stakeholders
  • Comply with the site HSE policy, site HSE protocols, and global HSE guidelines

Qualifications

Critical Knowledge

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Microbiology from a reputed university
  • 2+ years' experience in laboratory analytical activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Willingness to work in shift operations (morning/day/night)
  • ISO 9001 Internal/Lead auditor, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma certification will be an added advantage
