Role purpose

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the regional strategy for the Profession-al Solutions portfolio. (In Syngenta Tree Care business.)
  • Contribute to commercial strategy and implementation of marketing activities, technology access and pricing policies in Saudi Arabia with regional strategy.
  • Collect and analyze market data/trends to provide insight for the further development of the business. Contribute portfolio development needs and positioning.

This job is a Third Party employment for candidates based in Saudi Arabia. The role incumbent can work flexibly towards delivering business results and implementing strategies for the Tree Care business in Saudi Arabia. 

Geographic Scope: Saudi Arabia.

Accountabilities

  • Listening to what customers want, gathering customer insights and helping them to find the best solution for their needs in a competitive landscape.
  • Design, prepare and provide the relevant sales activities and services in order to support implementation of SPS campaigns and marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to campaign communication, identify appropriate channel of communication and adapt message to the targeted audience.
  • Constantly build product knowledge and deliver value added offers in engaging ways.
  • Setting up attractive product promotions at point of sales.
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Engaging in meaningful interactions and building good relationships with customers.
  • Networking with relevant stakeholders. Searching for new business opportunities.
  • Realize monthly sales targets and ensure monthly, quarterly sales forecast accuracy at optimum.
  • Set up user trials, coordinate demo trials build relationships.
  •  Promote digital touchpoints (WhatsApp's and other digital channels) to influence, capture content for social media and other digital platforms,.
  • prelaunch pilot commercial offers, build the Syngenta brand.  ​ Participate in exhibitions, run panel discussions, viewed as the Tree Care expert​ Target: Large & medium farmers, tender business, Governmental bodies. ​

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • University degree in Marketing / /Business Administration / sales/ Agriculture or Life Sciences.
  • Good basics and understanding of Sales / Marketing
  • PC literate, good MS outlook, excel, word skills
  • Valid driving license and active driver
  • Ability and ethics to work in multi-national and multi-task environment

Critical experience

  • at least 1-year experience of sales and marketing activities in date palm industry within Saudi Arabia.
  • good analytical and data reading skills
  • result and deadline oriented, self-driven motivation is a plus
  • sales and marketing focused, understanding of competition environment
  • good knowledge in communication on multiple seniority levels, good interpersonal skills, networker
  • ability to anticipate issues, multitasking and prioritization is essential
  • attitude and mind-set to work in local unit of a global organization, work in cross functional / matrix organization
  • customer oriented: insight about internal and external stakeholders

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • Arabic is a must as local language. Good level of English is highly preferable.
  • hands on 'doer mentality', task focused and ability to work under pressure
  • ability to organize drive and implement projects and tasks independently

  • Deliver the annual sales target of Syngenta Tree Care offer.
  • Build awareness of the solution as well as integrated offers of Syngenta Tree Care.
  • Understand Syngenta Tree Care business, customers, competitors and opportunities within Saudi Arabia.
  • Contributes developing value-added working relationships with team members, customers, distributors and industry influencers.

Additional Information

  • Active travelling within Saudi Arabia regions, some abroad travel within ME territory countries depends on need.
