The Syngenta Flowers Business Systems and Transformation team is currently seeking a Product Owner Customer Fulfillment at our Downers Grove, IL site.
You will enhance the prosperity of our growers by:
- Defining the vision, product strategy and roadmap for the customer fulfillment area and manage the product lifecycle together with our IT and Digital Function
- Proposing a product development plan and required budget to ensure delivery of the agreed business objectives.
- Promoting the products with internal and external stakeholders.
- Running and directing proof of concepts, assure further development of the MVPs (Minimum Viable Product) and you will develop and deliver launch plans for the new capabilities.

Accountabilities
- Responsible for the vision, strategy, and delivery of the products in the customer fulfillment domain for the Syngenta Flowers Business.
- Identify solutions and improvements from product allocation, product availability and fulfillment of orders to customers and partners.
- Build and lead a product team where we will develop a world class Order Management Capability enabling accurate fulfillment process including synchronized information with systems involved in fulfillment processes.
- Create customer value by providing a friction less (on-line) order delivery and processes to customers.
- Collaborating with business leads and other stakeholders to assure that the required product capabilities will deliver value for the Flowers business.
- Leading the to be established virtual product team to ensure delivery of agreed objectives.
- Build roadmaps for the roll out of the relevant improvements, (customer service, logistics solutions) based on input from the business teams, digital lead, customers, market research and own industry insight.
- Writing and directing creation of product requirements (user stories) based on customer inputs, you provide business cases for investments and gain internal approval.
- Define user stories and maintain the product backlog throughout development of the solutions.
- Maintain a consolidated view for the product with other global Flowers systems/products together with the team.
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role preferred
- Bachelors or Master’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Experience in Flowers or Seed industry preferred
- Experience in customer fulfillment preferred
- Understanding of Product Owner and Product management
- Understanding of customer, research, and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Digital and IT domains preferred
- Individual must be authorized to work in the United States for Syngenta without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
