Communications Manager - Nordics

We are seeking a strategic Communications Manager to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that drive business growth and enhance brand presence in our Nordic region (Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway).

In this role, you will lead the planning and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns while ensuring consistent brand messaging across all platforms. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution skills, demonstrating the ability to drive innovation in content creation while maintaining alignment with business goals. Strong analytical and collaborative skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

• Develop, execute, and measure strategic communication plans and campaigns for crop segments, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs
• Partner closely with Portfolio, KAM and Sales teams to develop and execute aligned marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and integration across Crop Protection, Biologicals and Ag Services Solutions portfolios while building collaborative relationships
• Craft compelling, brand-consistent content across all platforms and enhance digital presence through relevant content to optimize brand equity
• Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to deliver annual plans for digital media such as websites, landing pages, email, and social media
• Conduct regular grower events to maintain relationships and gather direct feedback on customer needs
• Oversee agency partnerships, marketing deliverables, and campaign performance through KPIs while ensuring compliance with Syngenta guidelines and adapting to market changes
• Engage in collaboration with senior members of the Leadership team to present and own communication plans

Qualifications and required experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Business, or related fields such as Marketing/Communications. Good understanding of basic agronomy and Nordic agricultural practices are beneficial.
• Solid experience in marketing as a Communication Specialist/Manager, with exposure to digital marketing practices.
• Proficiency in digital tools for metric measurement (e.g., Google Ads, ChatGPT, Canva)
• Proven experience in creating content for various touchpoints like web, video, ads and social media
• Skilled in cross-functional coordination and project management with adaptable communication style and budget oversight
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships while maintaining customer focus
• Native proficiency in Danish or Swedish, with excellent presentation and writing skills.

Site Details

The role is based in our commercial office in Copenhagen. This is a hybrid contract, with 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week.
