Process Chemist / Process Engineer – Safety Specialist (m/f/d)

As a member of the team, you will:

• Play a key role in developing safe manufacturing processes
• Be part of a diverse, global team carrying out critical and strategic projects
• Liaise with partners to ensure timely study completion 

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing knowledge and direction in process safety
• Supporting Syngenta's new product development and pilot plant manufacturing
• Contributing to novel technologies and approaches for flammability risks and controls
• Providing process safety training and coaching to colleagues throughout the region

Extensive prior specialization in process safety is not essential, as you will be joining a group of globally recognised technical experts that will support your development in this area.  What we do require from you is

• MA degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, PhD is advantageous
• Ideally 3 years of experience in process development and organic chemistry
• Experience of Process Risk Assessment techniques (e.g. HAZOP) in the context of batch chemical processing
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Fluent in English; German or French skills will be an advantage
