Job description

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the entire Seeds processing, Warehousing and related Engineering & Maintenance activities and its continuity.
  • Responsible for the Quality of the products made by the Plant.
  • Takes part in investigation of root causes of Customer Complaints and identified Non-Conformities; performs actions for improvements.
  • Accountable to comply with all Syngenta Policies, Standards, Codes of Practices and Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) Guidelines.
  • Act as a role model of the continuous improvement of the function; apply right the Operational Excellence (OpEx) tools (Measure & manage performance by KPIs).
  • Ensure best utilization of all resources to fit business requirements, including materials, machinery, energy & human resources.
  • Owns the workforce planning, hiring process of permanent & seasonal employees; do the required administrations in the relevant systems. Works with external service providers.
  • Responsible for accurate administration of working hours, salaries, bonuses in the related systems.
  • Responsible for performance evaluation, development & recognition of the workforce.
  • Responsible for purchasing input materials and services linked to Plant Operations. Being owner of contract preparation linked to this activities.
  • Ensure by contractual agreement the uninterrupted removal of by-products in line with Authority and any other requirements.
  • Takes part of Plant annual budget development and regularly follows-up actual financial performance versus budget.
  • Plans and executes the plant related Sustenance & Capex activities.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • University/college degree in Agronomy 
  • At least 5 years experience in production environment preferably in agribusiness 
  • At least 5 years experience in Team leadership
  • Relevant Seed processing experience
  • Being familiar with basics of Financials
  • Fluent English and Hungarian
  • Fluent MS Office user
  • Driving license “B” category
  • Excellent work organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
