An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Planning & Logistics Site Lead, based at our Grangemouth facility. As a key member of our site leadership team this newly created role will;

  • Lead and continuously optimise the planning, scheduling and logistics operations for the site (both internal and external) for both AI and FF&P. Includes contacts and procedures related to customs.
  • Coordinate and consult the different Syngenta functions on planning, scheduling and logistics related topics; act as single key point of contact on managerial level. Co-ordination along the supply chain, especially with AI and FF&P Supply Chain Planners, Vendor Schedulers, manufacturing and logistics manage the production plan and ex-works shipments.
  • Generate and maintain capacity and material balanced supply plans for the products in the production site with a strong focus on the 0-3 months but also on the 3-24 months through coordination with the supply chain planning community.  
  • Create, support and supervise the overall AI and FF&P production plans, providing options on formulation and packaging components to meet variances in demand and supply ensuring an effective balance in inventory and quick market response with a strong focus on HSE and Continuous Improvement.
  • Be responsible for the Site ROP together with the relevant supply chain ROP Leads (Asset Planners).
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate along the supply chain to manage the production plan, its execution and ex-works shipments over a current season horizon.

Qualifications

  • Professional competences in MES (SAP) and similar tools.
  • Preferable CPIM / CSCP or CLTD certified by APICS.
  • Advanced supply chain planning processes knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of production processes.
  • Good grasp of third-party relationship management and procurement policies.
  • Planning parameters, master data management and data integrity (EDWH).
  • Customs-, Import-, Export-, Transport-regulations.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in a supply chain, manufacturing, procurement or technical role at leadership level
  • Experience of successfully dealing with internal and external stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Lean system tools knowledge such as OEE, SMED, 5S, Blitz Kaizen, Kan Ban, 5Why.
