Support payroll processing by ensuring employees are paid accurately, timely, and according to current pay practices and legislation.  Manage all payroll accounting functions including audit, reconciliations, research, analysis, and compliance of Payroll Operations. 

Support HR Operations with Finance related actions including Purchase Order (PO) management, invoicing, budgeting, tracking and reconciliation.

Payroll:

  • Support the timely and accurate payroll for all active employees, seasonal, and international assignees through the internal HR system (Workday) and ADP Globalview/Ceridian Dayforce including verification of entries being made into the payroll platform are accurate and made per documented LWI’s (local work instructions). This would include any payments or deductions (recurring or one-time). 
  • Support payroll processing via reports generation and various data auditing.
  • Validate payroll data including Political Action Committee (PAC), retirement, union dues, and credit union payments prior to funding.
  • Create and maintain LWI’s (local work instructions) for internal polices and ADP processing including job aids to support complex tasks.
  • Research and manage escheatment process.
  • Support management of assigned automobile payroll deductions and year-end taxable fringe reporting for personal use of company car.

Finance:

  • Evaluate and provide reasonable assurances that internal controls are operating effectively.
  • Oversee payroll cash management including reconciliation of all General Ledgers and cost centers
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure proper processing and transmissions of payrolls via data transports to / from SAP systems for wages and accumulators.
  • Liaise all payroll accounting issues involving ADP Globalview/Ceridian Dayforce G/L interface.
  • Support HR Operations finance functions including budgeting, PO management, invoicing, reconciliations, and tracking.

This position will be located in our Greensboro, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration in a large company setting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting in a large company setting.
  • Excellent understanding of payroll accounting principles
  • Advanced knowledge of US payroll administration
  • Excellent time management skills to meet various payroll and finance deadlines
  • Strong computer skills (SAP, MS Office, in particular Excel) and an aptitude for learning new programs

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • FPC or CPP payroll certification is a plus.
  • Ceridian Dayforce and/or ADP Globalview experience a plus
