Role Purpose

Apply deep understanding of the IT landscape in Logistics and Track & Trace domains and knowledge of the business situation on the ground to deliver business value through developing designs for new business challenges and implementing the solutions.

Working within an agile squad approach a Solution Consultant will either lead or be part of the team that delivers IT solutions from start to finish.

A Solution Consultant is an IT integrator and problem solver and is known as the “go to” person by stakeholders for domain related challenges or questions.

A Solution Consultant will apply architectural principles to the development of new solutions on all facets of architecture – technology, data, process, integration and organizational impact, ensuring ability of solution to scale as be sustained.

A Solution Consultant translates the domain specific P&S strategic priorities into solution roadmaps, making use of appropriate business and IT stakeholders.

Translate their awareness of new technologies in the digital world (outside-in perspective) into improvement opportunities for P&S, especially Logistics and Track & Trace areas.

Accountabilities

  • Lead solution development and deliver change through Squads in own domain or participate in Squads for other domains.
  • Apply the appropriate change methodology to Squad work.
  • Apply deep P&S understanding (Logistics and Track & Trace) as well as technical solution knowledge to problem identification and solving - and ensure solutions to problems are in alignment with Syngenta architectural principles.
  • Contribute to priority setting by providing your insight of the P&S situation in Logistics and Track & Trace to the discussion.
  • Provide appropriate costing input to new solutions or change, taking into consideration both project as well as operations costs.
  • Be the mediator of IT matters to your business stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Bring in your expertise and work with the P&S Tribe members at large to develop visions and technology roadmaps for future P&S problems.

Qualifications

Essential for this position:

  • University undergraduate and/or advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Sciences, MBA, or other relevant educational experience.
  • Career experience as an IT expert working with P&S functional business leaders and teams, in multiple aspects of Logistics and ideally working with Traceability / Product Serialization solutions and processes.
  • Extensive career experience in envisioning, leading and delivering change projects, including the creation and ownership of their functional/solution design.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain functional & IT blueprints / roadmaps / solution architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems and situations and make big picture design/architecture connections.
  • Demonstrated customer centric delivery and value outcome mindset.
  • Fluent level of English (spoken and written).
