In this role you will work within a multidisciplinary global team to discover, define, and design experiences that empower farmers to work more effectively and efficiently by utilizing our data-driven solutions.

A P&S IT Business Partner will apply their deep understanding of the IT landscape in their domain and their knowledge of the Veg business situation on the ground to deliver business value through implementing solutions to problems as well as developing designs for new business challenges.

Working within an agile squad approach a Business Partner will either lead or be part of the team that delivers IT solutions from start to finish.

A Business Partner is an IT integrator and problem solver and is known as the “go to” person by stakeholders for domain related challenges or questions.

A Business Partner will apply architectural principles to the development of new solutions on all facets of architecture – technology, data, process, integration and organizational impact.

Fit for purpose solutions cover both business needs that enable Syngenta to grow at scale as well as sustainable IT requirements.

A Business Partner translates the Veg domain specific P&S strategic priorities into solution roadmaps, making use of appropriate business as well as IT stakeholders.

A Business Partner can translate their awareness of new technologies in the digital world to opportunities for their domain in P&S.

We all have a critical role to play and add value. Here is how this role will help:

·       Lead solution development and deliver change through Squads in own domain or participate in Squads for other domains

·       Apply the appropriate change methodology to Squad work

·       Apply deep P&S understanding as well as technical solution knowledge to problem identification and solving - and ensure solutions to problems are in alignment with Syngenta architectural principles

·       Contribute to priority setting by providing your insight of the P&S situation in your domain to the discussion

·       Provide appropriate costing input to new solutions or change, taking into consideration both project as well as operations costs

·       Be the mediator of IT matters to your business stakeholders and vice versa

·       Bring in expertise and work with the P&S members at large to develop visions and technology roadmaps for future P&S problems

·       25% travel will likely be required to support the Veg global business unit


Qualifications

Our industry and our function are changing rapidly so we are looking for new team members with a strong desire to develop themselves. You will be a great fit if you have:

·       University undergraduate and/or advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Sciences, MBA, or other relevant educational experience

·       Additionally, this role holder needs to know how an Ag business works, what is happening in our industry, business and IT best practices and major IT trends

·       This role holder also should ideally be a curious student of business and functional operations, digitalization and its impact on the customer and internal workforce across the big picture and down to the fine detail

·       This role holder also needs to have a good balance of an innovator, detail orientation, analytical ability, pragmatism and P&L mindset, seeing IT as an enabler to drive profitable business outcomes and customer satisfaction

·       Career experience as an IT expert working with P&S functional business leaders and teams

·       Demonstrated career experience in P&S, Crop Protection and Seeds business domains

·       Extensive career experience in envisioning, leading, and delivering change projects, including the creation and ownership of their functional/solution design

·       Demonstrated ability to create and sustain functional & IT blueprints/roadmaps

·       Demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems and situations and make big picture design/architecture connections

·       Demonstrated customer centric delivery and value outcome mindset

·       Understands Master Data

·       Career experience as an IT expert working with P&S functional business leaders and teams

·       Demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems and situations and make big picture design/architecture connections
