The purpose of the Operation Planner is to plan, coordinate and monitor effectively execution on nursery and trailing work according to the Breeding plans across Corn, Soy and Sunflower in LAS. The role will participate on planification and coordination with site managers and trailing managers. Helping in develop the plans and estimate resources needed to guarantee execution. During the season will be responsible to have a broad vision across sites, managing resources like field equipment, supplies, etc. Also, would be responsible to track and consolidate all operational metrics (kpi) of the team as well as communication to leadership

Here is how this role will be critical to our business:

  1. Collaborate with the Breeding teams to develop the breeding plans, providing insight and information regarding nursery capacity and capabilities.
  2. Work closely with NSP, Processing, Agronomy, Trailing and PPP to decide in best uses of resources across crop teams and ensuring compliance with Syngenta’s HSE policy, Code of Conduct and pertinent Codes of Practice.
  3. Review and calculate LAS capacity and unit costs annually, supporting the PPP function.
  4. Coordinate with the Agronomy function to ensure land and greenhouse space availability needed to execute the plan.
  5. Coordinate with the Testing Teams to deliver processed seed in quantity and quality ready to support Seeds Testing activities.
  6. Monitor progress against the baseline plan agreed with partners and actively feedback communication to stakeholders.
  7. Report to stakeholders’ performance of the operation as required via agreed KPIs.
  8. Advocate for continuous improvement by engaging the Quality Teams.
  9. As a member of the SD Trailing and Operation team, will be working with Station managers and both accountable for the whole planned operation. Also, collaborate to improve efficiency and productivity of LAS as a whole, collaborate with maintenance of infrastructure and equipment.
  10. Work closely with SDOT Head on capacity and demand planned.
  11. Consolidate and communicate KPI internally. Preparing dashboard to standardize SDOT operations
  12. Connect with PPP through Operation capacity and knowledge to improve cost analysis.

Qualifications

Essential for this position:

  • Graduated in Agronomy, industrial engineer or similar.
  • Proficiency in English desired.
  • Strong short and mid-team planning and tracking abilities with a positive attitude towards continuous follow up.
  • Communication and computer skills to manage MS Office and corporate software. Digital fluency (example: power bi)
  • Excellent communication, results-oriented and teamwork
  • Change management skills to lead across ambiguous situations.
  • Conflict management skills towards win-win outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team and across boundaries.
  • Driver's license up to date and available for trips
