To support that challenge, the Syngenta team is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead for Seeds North America to provide leadership and support to the Talent Acquisition team. This is a full-time, Hybrid position based in Downers Grove, IL.  This Position requires up to 20% travel, while embracing the FOW (Future of Work).

You will help shape the future of agriculture by:

  • Leading and directing the talent acquisition & strategy and recruiting activities for the region 
  • Managing a large team of talent acquisition professionals, ensuring high levels of performance and high levels of client satisfaction
  • Working closely with the wider HR organization to support strategic projects, providing talent acquisition expertise 
  • Leading the delivery and implementation of key Talent Acquisition projects for the region including employer branding, strategic talent pipelining, internal mobility, technology etc.

Accountabilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Talent Acquisition team (TA Partners, Recruiters, TA Administrators, Sourcers, and Academic Partnership Program team) to deliver against business strategy, promoting a strong culture of continuous improvement across the region and globally, continuously seeking opportunities to improve process, systems, and team capabilities
  • Drive regional performance and accountability through agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting frameworks. Create transparency on recruitment and sourcing performance as well as identify and address trends in performance and escalate areas of concerns where necessary
  • Ensure there is a robust sourcing strategy in place for the region, understanding local requirements and translating this into a media presence and purchasing strategy in line with budget, partnering with POD on strategies where applicable.  
  • Manage global & regional talent acquisition projects, processes, and work instructions end to end, driving high levels of consistency across the region and with global ways of working e.g., design, build, test, deploy.  
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior business and HR Leaders to define future talent needs to help shape the overall regional talent acquisition strategy, providing communication and regular updates / dashboards to senior HR & business stakeholders on recruitment performance (monthly, quarterly, annual) 
  • Manage regional talent acquisition budget ensuring monthly updates are presented to the Regional Head of HR and Global Talent Acquisition Lead 
  • Responsible for regional Preferred Supplier List; regularly working with vendors, reviewing performance, and making changes where appropriate
  • Manage compliance audit requests as required

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or HR related field required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years plus of equivalent demonstrated strategic talent acquisitions experience including employer branding, Diversity and Inclusion strategies, Early Talent strategies, talent pipelining / community development etc.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of strong talent acquisition / recruitment management experience preferred to be gained in a global organization
  • Demonstrated project / change management experience, ideally in the areas of process improvement, technology implementation, etc.
  • Budget management experience required
  • Vendor management experience required
