  • Responsible for high adoption of agricultural mechanization technology in execution of seeds development nursery & yield trials, such as: parental line purification, trials seed production, and any breeding project or yield trials activities conducted. From land cultivation, planting, plant maintenance/agronomy (fertilizer and pesticide spraying), harvesting and seeds postharvest activities.
  • Accelerating number of rows/plot delivery per season/year through adoption of mechanization. Which may lead to higher standard of productivity achievement. 
  • Aware and understand in quality management process that connect to machinery adoption.  
  • Aware and understand in HSE management, particularly in Machinery HSE.
  • Responsible to manage preventive maintenance for all the mechanization tools/unit owned by Seeds Development.
  • Ensure seeds development organization has proper mechanization delivery and plan to accommodate tremendous growth of business delivery.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible of Mechanization technology adoption in Seeds Development organization delivery as per plan of Regional Target:
    1. Build strong working relationship with NSPP & Trialing team, understand their KPI and way of working, particularly to any aspects that can be converted to mechanization.  
    2. Propose, invent, and evaluate best machinery/tools practice that fit with NSPP & Trialing operations. Could be best practice from other region or can be adopted from local wise.
    3. Implement preventive maintenance for all machineries in Seeds Development (Drying machine, sheller, seed counter, stationery thresher, combine harvester, etc.).
    4. Deliver high team productivity in NSPP/trialing through mechanization and technology adoption.
  • Develop team capabilities in understanding and operating farm mechanization technology in their related activities (NSPP/Trialing).  
  • Develop proper SOP on machinery operation, include: conducting regular training, create maintenance checklist and other proper document related to mechanization.

Qualifications

Essentials Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor or master degree in Mechanization of Agriculture and related subjects
  • Agronomic knowledge of crops and breeding processes is preferable
  • Good communication and technical skills
  • High adoption in technology/software for agriculture operations
  • Understand preventive maintenance implementation for machinery
  • Field & Seeds Quality
  • HSE knowledge

  • Dynamic, adaptive and creative skills in understanding team needs.
  • Experience in handling and managing machineries.
  • Experience in handling and managing complain from machinery users and do troubleshoot as soon as possible in timely basis.
