This Marketing Operations Specialist position has a flexible work location and can be based from Guelph, ON, or remotely across Canada. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract position that is renewable.  


Accountabilities 

  • Collaborate with the Seeds Customer Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, and advertising agency to ensure smooth, effective, on-time delivery of tactics 
  • Support the execution and development of many types of tactics including collateral, media, social media, public relations, email, video, presentations, sales support materials, event co-ordination and content development 
  • Track and report on budgets, processing estimates and purchase orders for each tactic and accountability for ensuring tactics are within allocated and agreed to budget 
  • Manage third-party agency/contractors as required to deliver the project plan working with stakeholders to ensure that projects adhere to Syngenta guidelines, policies, governance, and compliance 
  • Assist in the measurement of KPIs for tactics to help make recommendations for future tactics/execution improvements 
  • Collaborate on objectives and tactics for all social media channels with Digital Marketing Specialist by coordinating and implementing relevant, engaging content for Social Media in line with the Social Media Strategy

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Agriculture, Business or Communications 
  • At least 3 years of Marketing Communications & Project Management experience within the Agriculture industry
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Best Practices 
  • High degree of customer relationship marketing skills and communications principles
  • Understanding of agriculture, marketplace dynamics, competitive environment and Syngenta customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with leadership and collaboration abilities 
  • Detail oriented, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are able to prioritize multiple projects and multitask to get the job done
