Role purpose

  • Support in developing long term strategy and connect with all functions viz; commercial, R&D, P&S, Finance etc.
  • Set and implement Country portfolio direction in line with Territory strategies to deliver and enable profitable market share growth
  • Lead development and execution of customer/campaign plans in country with close coordination with commercial team
  • Act as a contact point for Territory crop team on strategy and portfolio-related matters for alignment 
  • Develop product capability within local commercial team.
  • Operational marketing aspects for the country (e.g. S&OP, Pre HPC, MAPS, Pricing etc.)

Accountabilities

  • Ensure Delivery of the financial target for Veg Crops by closely working with commercial teams.
  • Ensure availability of products through meticulous demand review & inventory monitoring
  • Efficient transactional price management by giving a market & competitive environment clubbed with our portfolio performance.
  • Capability development (Product) to sales team
  • Successful NPI launches & Leverage of expanding products 
  • Pricing for NPI, right communication, timely availability of NPI's
  • Tech Support/Market Trialling to plan trials for commercial positioning
  • Distribution of pre commercial demos, In-field monitoring/market visits, sharing success in forums like BRM’s, campaign review meetings
  • Participation in Product advancement tours (PAT) with key stakeholders


Innovative Mar Com, Activations & campaign effectiveness

  • Drive digital initiatives.
  • Ensure team capability to drive business.
  • Develop and drive implementation of product strategies (NPI/ PLCM/) including target segment identification, positioning, campaign
  • Monitor effective campaign execution in field and review progress
  • Guide and support in designing promotion materials for the brands for driving the campaigns, use innovative communication tools.
  • Direction setting and campaign communication via campaign roll out to focus teams, reviewed on regular basis for priority & NPI products
  • Rigorous monitoring of timely pre-/post-launch activities

Strategic portfolio management

  • Portfolio management, Pricing of NPI, PLCM
  • Drive Pre-HPC, Local Crop Units (LCU’s)
  • Market intelligence and Portfolio optimization/3rd party strategy defined/aligned for Veg SE (in-/out- licensing)
  • Active participation in S&OP’s 
  • 5 year crop plan in MAPS, opportunities / challenge / Gap Analysis
  • Expanding the horizon of business planning at product/geography level working for volume, price, and competition scenario
  • Every month updating of LTP to match the SPP & LP
  • Coordinate with Territory Crop Manager team for timely PMD update and efficient PLC management

  • Support development and implementation of new processes/ways of working. 
  • Support driving appointment process and fostering mindset change. 
  • Establish connectivity with Territory crop teams to ensure effective/efficient  communication.
  • Identify gap of capability in the team and propose and implement capability development plan

  • Critical experience
  • This concerns the type and minimum length of relevant experience required to effectively perform the role. This includes experience/familiarity with particular processes or systems, dealing with certain products or services, and/or the experience of dealing with others - both internally and externally. 
  • Experience of the agri-business sector in Marketing, Sales and Strategy (8-10 Years)
  • Experience in campaign development and management
  • Working relationship within Territory organization
