Purpose

  • Convert the Global DFC DC strategies and the BU Strategic House into comprehensive 5Y SMS marketing plans for Hybrid and Soybean crops
  • Strategic planning for Crop within CU
  • Drive sucesfull New Product Introductions (NPI’s) and brand repositioning
  • Product management for assigned crops and products – building strong and impactful product positioning  based on deep market understanding
  • Crop sales campaigns planning & execution to create brand awaranes within target customers and ensure commecial effeciency
  • Form and sustain close partnership with the EAME Marketing and CPD to drive effective ways of working with BU Marketing and Regional counterparts

Strategy

  • Adapt Territory Portfolio strategies, develop and align with stakeholders on CU level the 5Y Strategic plan
  • Develop market and grower segmentation & competitive analysis
  • Understand market drivers, dynamic, and competitive landscape through effective consolidation of insights from Regions and market reviews and research
  • Prepare market & sales forecast, Crop Allocation tables, enter data into SmartPlan
    (confirmed by Portfolio Manager)
  • Provide input into annual budget preparation and hence setting campaign objectives for the crop
  • Input 5Y forecast into I-Plan, keep data credible and updated on annual base

Portfolio

  • Own SMS’s portfolio decisions for the BU, manage and allocate A&P (all 4Ps) spent and communication strategy
  • Overall responsibility for Portfolio %GP and %MS, price poritioning, value and transactional pricing, price/ volume trade-off
  • Provide product knowledge to Regional Marketing, Sales, Technical Support streams (seminars, events, etc.)
  • Adapt product & portfolio positioning at regional level, identify portfolio gaps and potential solutions to address grower needs and support new product launches based on deep market analisis and understanding of grower needs
  • Product portfolio PLCM after the product launch and introdcution

New Product Introductions (NPI’s) and brand repositioning

  • Create actionable BU Launch Plan supported by robust Brand Plan, Technical Launch Plan and adopted Global brand models/ brand books
  • Manage NPI procedure (AGI codes, labels, forecast, etc.) and cross-functional cooperation to ensure product availability on time
  • Work with Pricing Manager to maximize profitable market share gain applying value pricing and KBF study analysis
  • Be accountable for the quality and integrity of the product information on the label and in the Syngenta systems
  • Collaborate with Technical Expert and MarCom Manager on RTB collecting, promotion and communication strategy building to achieve targeted sales plateu
  • Arrange post-launch analysis and integrate required adjustments into follow up Plan

Campaign Management

  • Plan, develop & manage campaigns on national & regional level (develop 3y plan of campaigns)
  • Define target audience for each campaign. Work out precise plan of marketing activities
  • Develop MarCom plans, promotion and GPO/solutions focused on growers’ lifecycle and key touchpoints rather then just product management
  • Conduct on-seasonal KPI tracking/monitoring with results sharing at BU/Regional levels and enhanced post-campaign analysis
  • Participate in internal meetings & trainings with Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Participate in grower & influencer related meetings, seminars, etc.
  • Coordinate activity of different teams (sales, marketing services, technical marketing, territory marketing) to ensure timely and proper campaign implementation.
  • Conduct on-seasonal KPI tracking/monitoring with results sharing at BU/Regional levels and enhanced post-campaign analysis
  • Participate in sales objectives definition
  • Allocate and manage A&P/Loyalty budget

Qualifications

  • Min 3 years of experience in Sales and marketing in agro business
  • Knowledge and min 2 years of experience in product management
  • Experience in the application of crop agronomics and technologies and their contribution to the financial drivers of a grower’s business
  • Degree in Agriculture
  • Deep Market knowledge within agro industry
  • Deep knowledge of brand management and marketing
  • Budgeting
  • Technical products knowledge
  • Understanding of agricultural market, customer needs and trends
  • Understanding of key stages and principles of product life cycle
  • Understanding of the seed industry, crop protection, Seedcare and on-farm activities
  • Analytical and project management skills
