Maintenance and Engineering Manager Turkey

ROLE PURPOSE

• Manages the maintenance of assets, improvement, and adaptation of production equipment to organizational or technological developments.
• Supervise the site & field teams and suppliers to guarantee the production units, and more generally the company, the proper functioning of its equipment, the maintenance of its buildings, its security, and the improvement of its performance.
• Responsible for organizing preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize failure rate.
• Responsible of maintenance budget and its efficiency in full Compliance with internal, external Standards and Legislation. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Organize, plan and monitor maintenance work
  • Develop the preventive and corrective maintenance schedule of the various equipment, equipment, and buildings, managing the priorities, safety and constraints of production, with the help of the (SAMACO) CMMS system (computerized maintenance management)
  • React in the event of a serious breakdown and resolve problems quickly
  • Manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers of parts and tools for maintenance
  • Control the interventions carried out, propose improvements in machine performance by considering the cost aspect and utilization rate
  • Monitor service indicators and their achievements
  • Ensure the follow-up of the regulatory controls of the various equipment and infrastructures.
• Organize teams,
  • Manage them administratively, train and encourage them
  • Provide them with technical support and ensure that their training meets the site's HSE expectations
  • Be responsible for the application of the site's HSE rules with site team
  • Sensitize and train staff on first-level maintenance if implemented
  • 3rd party providers management
• Follow up and Implement Developments
  • Ensure technological watch and technical document management
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and CAPEX in the short, medium, and long term for the development and investments of the site
  • Negotiate and manage investment and new works projects
• Expected results
  • At the maintenance level: quality of interventions, deadlines ensured while respecting production, reduction of emergency repairs
  • In terms of new work: quality, budget and deadlines respected or improved
  • At team level: good organization and good social climate
  • He /She carries out his work processes in accordance with the occupational safety and environmental protection guidelines set out in the Syngenta HSE Policy and Standards.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Critical Knowledge:

• University (Advanced degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering)
• Recommended Post-graduation as well (ideal)
• Process improvement, Statistical analysis, MS office pack;
• Six Sigma certificate on Green Belt program or similar (ideal)
• Project Management basic knowledge (boot camp training)
• HSEQ: knowledge of systems and QA procedures and responsibility for compliance
• Engineering and financial awareness: some knowledge of CAPEX and costing systems and its impact in the P&S costs
• Turkish and good command of English
• Driving license “B” category

Critical Skills:

• Excellent learning capability is a must
• Ability to work with large quantities of data
• Management: team management and meeting skills, work planning and reports;
• Communication: ability to convey the right level of detail to the right audience verbally, in writing, or by presentations and ability to judge when and who to communicate key information
• Networking: able to maintain and extend networks internally and with other parts of the organization and contribute constructively to teams in order to meet targets
• Seeds processing and agronomy awareness
• Confident, independent personality with high energy level

Critical Experience:

• Substantial experience and knowledge of seeds processing and seeds multiplication, critical data analysis (statistics/experimental design)
• Experience of working with/in seeds operational team is a priority
• Ability to transfer knowledge through writes standards, technical reports and trainings.
• Experience in continuous improvement projects
