Machine Operator

Role purpose:

The purpose of the role is to ensure all the production targets are achieved by maintaining the Syngenta HSE & Quality Standards.  

Accountabilities:

Occupational Health Safety Environment:

·         Awareness to identify/assess and resolve Potential Hazards and near misses.

·         Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety, and Environmental management.

·         Participate in detailed incident investigations, root cause analysis, and training.

·         Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, and correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the proper personnel.

·         All the steps/actions required to ensure Syngenta HSE Standards implementation.

Quality:

·         Ensure all quality in-Process checks are done as per the given frequency.

·         Ensure all CTQs are monitored/tracked & if any deviations are found, steps are taken to eliminate deviation.

·         Awareness to identify/assess and resolve Potential Quality Risks.

·         Participate in detailed incident investigations, root cause Analysis, and training.

·         All the steps/actions required to ensure Syngenta Quality Standards implementation.

Manufacturing/Production Excellence

·         Ensure Shop Floor compliance to achieve production targets by monitoring and controlling all necessary parameters at different stages of production or as per the designated process.

·         Control the product and material wastage to the minimum level as per standard.

·         Coordinate with Engineering & Quality teams to resolve direct and indirect issues to attain qualitative and cost-effective productivity. I-e Job Order issuance & troubleshooting, material abnormalities must be shared with quality Packaging/Raw.

·         All the product changeovers must be done as per the desired plan.

·         Autonomous maintenance must be followed to ensure equipment is kept at a high output level.

·         Mastering the assigned equipment is a must.

·         overall understanding of all the processes/equipment is a must.  

·         Provide immediate feedback to the supervisor in case of any abnormality or uncertainty.

·         Main 5S condition of floor/Machines.

·         Initiate Lean ideas/KAIZENs to enhance productivity.

Resource Management

·         Utilize efficiently Machine and Manpower as per defined Capacity.

·         Reduce the probability of breakdowns in coordination with the engineering team.

• Bsc (Chemistry) (if hiring for formulation Bsc/Diploma/B.tech chemistry is preferred)
• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical.
• Minimum 1-3 years experience of in Chemical industry (Preferred).
• Experience in formulation of chemical/Filling & Packaging operations (Preferred).
• Basic knowledge of Lean Tools.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of HSE & Quality.
