Digital Agriculture Solution & Soil Health Services Lead

Job description

Role Purpose

Lead the establishment and growth of Syngenta's Agriculture Solutions and Soil Health service business across Central Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Baltic countries). Build and scale a customer-centric service operation from the ground up, developing country-specific strategies, infrastructure, and high-performing teams to deliver innovative soil health solutions to customers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development, Strategy, Marketing & Partnerships

  • Develop and execute country-specific business plans and manage P&L for soil health services
  • Lead sales and marketing activities, driving commercial excellence and go-to-market strategies
  • Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and key stakeholders
  • Establish and manage vendor partnerships, ensuring SLA compliance
  • Refine service operating model and provide strategic feedback to regional leadership
  • Collaborate with Seeds and Crop Protection teams to leverage portfolio synergies

Technical Execution & Service Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end service delivery from order intake to completion
  • Lead and motivate field-based operator teams, scheduling operations for timely, quality execution
  • Oversee soil service vehicle fleet management and laboratory protocol compliance
  • Provide first-level customer support, handle escalations, and resolve technical issues
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software problem resolution
  • Report activities and drive continuous improvement using change management methodology
  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety policies

Qualifications

Must-Have Experience (5+ years minimum)

  • Digital agriculture solutions, soil health, or crop agronomy expertise
  • Agriculture services development and product management
  • Leading and motivating field-based sales/operations teams
  • Implementation of innovative and digital agricultural solutions

Essential Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing across diverse interests
  • Solution-oriented mindset - practical decision-making under pressure
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, complex environments
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective customer/distributor relationship management
  • Results-focused with ability to resolve issues effectively
  • Fluent Polish and advanced level of English

  • Fertilizer advisor certificate
