In Action

We are seeking a Multiplication Order Management Team Leader to lead our team of 10 multiplication order managers based in Enkhuizen (NL). As the leader of the team, you will be responsible for managing the team with respect to hiring, appraisal, training, and development. You will also be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and reliable management of multiplication process orders and related purchase orders for vegetable seeds produced globally in line with the set production plans. In addition, you are responsible for contracting, invoice management and payments to our vendors and growers.

This role offers the opportunity to become a key player for stakeholders in the Processing Plant and Laboratories in Enkhuizen, for Supply Chain, Crop Planning and Finance. And contribute to the process of continuous improvements in this area.

 

The Challenge

Key accountabilities of the role include the entire process from seed production from the start till the end. Including ordering the treatment of parent lines, shipment of parent lines, managing seed multiplication process orders and related purchase orders in SAP. Ensuring timely updates are made in our planning system, till facilitating the shipment and reception of our newly produced (hybrid) seeds at one of our processing sites.

 

The successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and collaboration skills, be a team player, and have project planning and management capabilities. You must also be a motivating people manager and have commercial awareness.


Qualifications

The Profile

The successful candidate will have experience managing a team of individuals in a supply chain environment, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP. Critical knowledge includes people management on the basis of influence and authority, logistical concepts for supply chain activities, regulation impacting imports and exports of plant material, and demonstrated expertise in SAP and ERP systems. You must be fluent in English and have a University or Bachelor's degree. Functional knowledge of vegetable seed production/business is also desirable.
