Accountabilities

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing key accounts (Distributors, projects), maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts, and maximizing sales opportunities within them. This role involves contributing to the development (Sales, Portfolio, and NPI’s) and execution of sales strategies and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The Key Account Manager acts as the main interface between the company and its key customers, ensuring outstanding customer service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high-volume clients to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities within distributors & Projects in Egypt and incorporate into the growth and development of the company in market share with them.
  • Executes key account specific tactics aligned with campaign and marketing plans.
  • Ensure demo field trials (through distributors) and upload all evaluation on EZ platform, executed and visited by customers for pre-commercial and commercial varieties in alignment with campaign plans.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews of account/ area outcomes and leverage learnings into future planning.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams, through portfolio meeting platform.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Identifies key customer insights to support design of customer services related policies, e.g., minimum order, credit, logistics guidelines.
  • Be the technical reference for the assigned VEG crops: provide technical support on varieties to customers (trial visits, presentation, and technical document).
  • Provide agronomic solutions & advice to the customers and prospects.
  • Collect market/competitor information (market intelligence) and information on varieties performance and provide them to Sales manager, Key account manager and Product managers required for the commercial success, by using SFDC.
  • Handle the technical side of the customer’s complaints and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Research key customer wants and needs.
  • Identify potential customers, assess, and make proper selection based on the company strategy.
  • Ensure proper forecasting / planning with customer (Distributors, Projects) and closely follow Account Receivables.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Co-ordinate activities in Marketing in Egypt.

Qualifications

Critical knowledge and experience

  1. Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or relevant role in sales or Marketing.
  2. 10 years Development sales management / marketing experience
  3. Key account management skills; strong understanding of customer needs, structure, and business drivers.
  4. Solid experience MS Office & PPT.
  5. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  6. Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  7. Understanding of competitive environment
  8. Bachelor’s degree at Agriculture since
  9. Agribusiness experience: knowledge of Veg seeds and Seeds business is must.
