Role purpose

  • Set and implement Commercial Unit (CU) direction for Lettuce,Brassica,Okra and Cucurbitaceae in line with Territory Crop / Indication strategies to deliver CU strategy and enable profitable market share growth
  • Co-develop PPD, PLCM, and brand planning in collaboration with Territory Asset Head
  • Build portfolio strategies aligned to market need & supporting delivery of CU 5-year plan
  • Ensure that country brand plans are aligned to Territory Asset strategies
  • Operational marketing aspects for the CU (e.g. SOP, Pricing, SPP, HPC, etc.)
  • Maximize profit generated from Lettuce,Brassica,Okra and Cucurbitaceae portfolio
  • Act as a contact point for Territory functions on Lettuce,Brassica,Okra and Cucurbitaceae strategy and portfolio-related matters for alignment  

Accountabilities CU Strategy and Business accountabilities

  • Lead brand planning, post-patent-defense, product lifecycle managaement, and value & portfolio pricing for Lettuce,Brassica,Okra and Cucurbitaceae
  • Lead NPI excellence through leadership and coordination of an NPI team and overall process (where relevant)
  • Contribute as a Key member of the CU Commerical Team (CCT) and Territory Portfolio Leadership team (TPLT), and crop campaign teams, ensuring that operational decisons are aligned to asset strategies and maximize value of assets across crops
  • Lead development of 5-year CU portfolio plan to enable profitable market share growth and gain consensus on priorities and resource plans
  • Develop and monitor market intelligence, bringing customer insight into brand strategies and marketing plans
  • Work with CU Head of Marketing and Territory Asset Heads to reassess key priorities for current year activities to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Pricing (value, portfolio)

  • Establish connectivity with TPLT to ensure effective/efficient  communication.
  • Participate and deliver key inputs to CU crop campaign teams (brand plans, value pricing, campaign priorities, etc.)
