Internship Syngenta Biology (6 Months)

We offer several 6 months biology internships based at our Research and Development center in Stein for highly motivated students currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in biology who can bring scientific excellence and are excited by solving practical problems in biology.

As a biology intern, you may work on a wide range of topics in different research functions, including:

• Plant pest interactions
• Crop protection related fungal bioassays
• Whole plant phenotyping
• Microbial and plant cell studies
• Molecular Biology

During these internships, you may have the opportunity to:

• Apply and improve problem-solving skills in biology experimentation
• Provide support for research projects in biological research
• Assist with the implementation of innovative laboratory techniques
• Nurture your talent so you can grow and succeed

Tasks may vary depending on the team you would be working within and are not limited to those listed above.

• We are looking for enthusiastic students with a strong academic record and good communication skills who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in biology (plant pathology, microbiology, molecular biology etc.)
• Previous experience in working in a biological laboratory is greatly valued
• A valid residence and work permit for Switzerland, or the entitlement under an international treaty to obtain such (e.g. EU bilateral treaty) is required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
