Internship Development Transport Costs Model

  1. SE Production Operations
  2. De Lier
  3. Syngenta Seeds

Job description

In Action

As an intern, you will work on developing a uniform transport cost model for Syngenta Flowers. You will:

  • Map out the current situation of transport costs and freight charges
  • Analyze pros and cons of existing methods
  • Develop a proposal for a new, uniform pricing structure
  • Validate the proposed model with historical data
  • Present recommendations including an implementation plan

The Challenge

You will help us create a transparent, fair, and easy-to-explain transport cost model. The current system is complex and non-uniform, with different cost structures for carriers and incomplete charge-through to customers. Your goal is to develop a model that can pass on all transport costs and is fixed at the time a customer places an order.
