We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Sustainability Lead to join Syngenta’s team!

As a global leader in agricultural science, Syngenta is committed to delivering a sustainable future for farmers and the planet. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and help us advance our sustainability agenda in Indirect Procurement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approach within Indirect Procurement. This includes developing and implementing strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of our indirect suppliers, and improving the social and governance standards of our supply chain.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sustainability and the ability to think strategically and creatively. You should be a strong communicator and have the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Develop and implement a Global Sustainability Agenda for Indirect Procurement.
  • Co-Lead with Business the definition and implementation of the green electricity Procurement Strategy across Syngenta.
  • Promote and embed ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) approach within Indirect Procurement day to day activities.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance.
  • Help defining and implementing key performance indicators to track progress and contribution of IP to Sustainability.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Drive the overall Sustainability agenda within the Indirect Procurement Function.
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact from IP with Business Sustainability teams.
  • Share and promote implementation of external and internal best practices. related to IP Sustainability across the function.

Qualifications

  • +5 years of significant experience.
  • Experience working within matrix organizations.
  • Have strategic mindset with the strong execution / implementation skills.
  • Be Proactive, can do attitude, self-starter.
  • Be passionate about the Global Sustainability agenda.
