ROLE PURPOSE

  • The Seeds Regional HR Head for APAC provides end-to-end strategic HR partnership to the Veg & Flowers organization in APAC and is a critical partner on the APAC Veg business leadership team to lead and define our people agenda in region.  As a trusted partner to the Business, this role will co-create and implement people strategies to achieve the Seeds APAC business results.
  • It has also an important Lead in the HR Community, being a Senior HR Business partner, sharing practices, bringing up the voice of the business and employees for internal continuous improvement and employee experience.
  • The role needs to understand the business and environment that the APAC Vegetables & Flowers are facing. It Lead the leaderships teams to develop and deliver the respective people and leadership agendas that will ensure effective profitable growth and employee engagement.
  • The position will lead regional and country initiatives for any organization restructure & change, and the development of talent, fuelling the talent pipeline and driving the D&I agenda
  • The HRBP will lead key projects in each of the business client groups but also for the enhancement of the Seeds HR Community.
  • The role will lead the relevant HR work streams for planning and delivery of key projects to achieve defined objectives by ensuring delivery on time, at high quality, within the parameters of the budget and by meeting business needs.
  • Main target will be to Lead to build a world-class Veg &Flowers Seeds organization and which is set up in a sustainable way for future requirements in a competitive manner.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead to finalize and implement the strategic people agenda for the client groups embedded in the context of the Veg& Flowers Seeds BU using broad knowledge of the business, leadership and culture
  • Create and drive the short-, mid- and longterm actions to bring the strategic people agenda to life, support change acitvities and organization design
  • Embed robust people management disciplines including talent management, people development at a global level within the function, and supporting a Seeds wide view of talent and movement of individuals across the organization
  • Drive for strategic and operational retention management
  • Coach and challenge leaders to develop individual leadership and organizational capability and resources required to enable delivery of their business strategy
  • Lead to a global network of HR BPs working in the relevant business/function in order to share plans, steer delivery of HR projects and Functional agendas and deliver a coherent and joined up HR support
  • Work closely and creatively with the CoEs to design, develop and implement HR projects and programs to deliver the business/function strategy, as well as supporting the CoEs in design of practical and business relevant HR processes
  • In collaboration local HR, ensure delivery of operational support to the senior leaders as appropriate (e.g. senior internal and external recruitment, senior internal moves, performance management challenges, providing advice on leading and supporting their direct reports etc.)

Qualifications

Accountabilities –HR for Geography

  • Build effective employee partnerships and consultation processes with representative bodies and unions, and contribute to regional consultation processes as required
  • Responsibility for the HR Business team’s statutory/regulatory duties within the geography ensuring there is appropriate focus and governance in place to monitor and manage compliance

Accountabilities- Operational delivery

  • Management of HR Operations work activities across Delivery Centre
  • Focus on continuous improvement and productivity
  • Partner with Regional/Global Service Managers to review and manage service performance for global services i.e. payroll, recruitment, L&D, core HR Administration
  • Ensuring Delegation of Authority and compliance procedures are understood and adhered to e.g. payroll sign off

 KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  •  HR experience (10- 15 years)
  • Experience of leading and developing an HR team
  • Focus on customer: seeks to deliver on customer needs and requirements
  • Experience in HR Strategy review/development & implementation
  • Ability to play a critical role in organizational change; excellent project management skills together with collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong E2E business understanding, x-functional, x-business mind set
  • Experience in an international company with structured HR policies & processes and in a complex/matrix organization
  • Strong influencing, coaching and communication skills
  • Languages: Fluent English
