HR Generalist

Now is the time to join Syngenta! We are looking for a HR Generalist to join our Research & Development (R&D) site based at Jealotts Hill. This is a new role and is an ideal opportunity to further develop your HR career in a vibrant, fast paced global organization.

Reporting to the Lead HRBP for R&D, you will provide support to our managers and colleagues across a broad remit of people activities. You will play a key role in providing managers with guidance on policies, procedures, processes and systems to help enable them to work smarter and more effectively. 

No two days will be the same, but some key aspects of the role will include:

• Ensuring all right to work checks are completed for our new joiners before or on day 1 of their start date
• Support line managers and employees in navigating our HR Systems
• Providing guidance and support to managers on first level investigations/disciplinaries and grievances ensuring adherence to policies and UK Legislation
• Supporting managers to execute global annual people processes such as performance management and compensation cycle
• Analysing data and preparing reports to support HRBPs in discussions with leaders
• Working as part of the wider UKHR team to drive projects which support the UK People plan at a local or country level

• Significant HR generalist experience across a broad remit of activities
• Experience of managing complex employee relation issues and a strong understanding of UK employment law and legislation
• Previous experience of working with HR systems
• Experience of building reports and analysing different data sources
• Solid experience of using Microsoft applications such as word, excel and outlook as well as virtual collaboration systems such as zoom
• Proven stakeholder management expertise
• Fluent in English both verbal and written
