We are seeking a curious, determined, and high performing technology leader to fill the role of Head of Product Engineering, Global IT & Digital Seeds. In this role, you will drive the development and delivery of innovative technology products and solutions, develop purposeful architectures, enable the reusability of best practices, and role model technology excellence for our Seeds business.

You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute the technology strategy, lead, and mentor a team of engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of products and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with a proven track record of driving transformational change and delivering sustainable results. Duties:

  • Develop and execute a product engineering strategy that aligns with the business goals and objectives.
  • Drive development of purposeful architectures across domains that support the scalability, reliability, and security of solutions.
  • Lead development of technology solutions and ensure they meet the technical requirements and are aligned with the architecture and business vision.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and data analytics, regions to ensure and end-to-end approach to solutions.
  • Enable reusability of technologies and best practices and ensure they are applied consistently.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of engineers and ensure they have the necessary resources, tools, and skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Look across Business functions to identify and connect opportunities across other regions and domains to collaborate, develop and share technology solutions.
  • Develop and manage product engineering budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.
     

Qualifications

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product engineering, with a focus on developing large-scale enterprise solutions and architecture.
  • Entrepreneurship experience or mindset, helping to lead business goals and build teams that work towards outcomes to solve real customers problems, able to deliver results even with scarce resources.
  • Strong technical expertise in software engineering, architecture, quality assurance, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in the agriculture business highly preferred.
