As Head Global Supply Chain Manager – Seedcare, you will develop and lead a team of global supply chain managers and ensure that all needs of the indication are set. You will help foster a spirit of connectivity within the supply chain community across the indication.  As a member of the supply chain leadership team, you will contribute to increase our global agility and efficiency, looking for opportunities to continuously improve our delivery and to develop our people. You will act as key business partner representing Production & Supply (P&S) within the indication team led by Global Product Marketing, ensuring strong connections to the key regions.

Accountabilities:

  • Further develop and lead a team of experienced Global Supply Chain Managers.
  • Develop and maintain a product supply chain strategy and set of underpinning design principles to shape the supply chain design and operation for a portfolio of products. Through the leadership of cross-functional supply chain teams, manage robust and cost-effective supply chains that are aligned to the indication strategy, with emphasis on the security of supply, product quality, the total cost of supply, inventory management, risk management, intellectual property, and asset network optimization & investment.
  • Work as a business partner with CP product management teams; actively contributing to commercial offer creation and product strategies.
  • Set and monitor supply chain KPIs to ensure balanced performance; driving continuous improvement and setting the change agenda for the team.
  • Network with the community of supply chain managers to develop excellence in supply chain management using common methodologies, KPIs, and creating scalable integrated solutions.
  • Act as a mentor, coach, and challenger to supply chain team members and others within the organization, working in tandem with their direct line management to guide and support individual development.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives in adherence to the globally set ambitions.
  • Ensure, full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework as well as Syngenta's own legal and ethical, HSE, corporate security, risk management and corporate governance standards.

Qualifications

  • Management of a Supply Chain Area (Logistics, Procurement, Planning, Others) for at least 5 years.
  • Management experience in a country/territory/region is desirable
  • Experience in handling multiple complex activities/projects
  • Background in Chemistry, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar
  • People management experience as a leader of groups/teams
  • Working with remote and culturally diverse teams
