We are currently seeking a highly motivated Global Crop Protection Production Finance Business Partner to join our CP Production and Supply Finance Team and provide financial support to the Global Production leadership teams. Monitor the effective and efficient delivery of business goals with sound financial analysis and advice.

In this role, you will also provide expert advice and support to the regions and sites on business cases/projects/adhoc questions.

Your Key result areas are: Active Ingredient (AI) Production and Formulation Fill & Pack (FFP) Manufacturing Fixed cost control, capitalized fixed cost (CFC) tracking and projections, FFP tolling activities, raw materials usage tracking/projections, Tangible fixed asset capital projections and tracking, standard cost update for all fixed costs elements governance.

Your responsibilities:

  • A member of and providing financial support/challenge to AI leadership team and FFP Leadership teams.
  • Additional support/challenge also provided to the CP Global Engineering and the Process Technology AI (PtAI) leadership teams.
  • Lead the budget process, consolidate, and challenge productivity gains; for AI production the 7 AI sites, FFP the 5 regions, Global Engineering and PtAI.
  • Tangible CAPEX lead, consolidate and challenge the Syngenta CP BU Budget and 5 YPL forecasts, open discussions with functions to prioritize spend where needed
  • Review, challenge and support with larger CP BU Production and Supply (P&S) business cases (Projects, CAPEX, siting decisions and M&A activities)
  • Preparation of CP P&S Business cases where there are cross region choices/dependencies
  • Direct Support on CAPEX projects for AI China platform with direct contact Syngenta Group China and Adama

Qualifications

What are we looking for:

  • Degree in finance/accountancy or equivalent with associated professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
  • 10+ years’ experience in Controlling or Finance business partnering incl. Team / project lead experience
  • Proficient knowledge of SAP and related information systems
  • Expanded awareness of financial compliance / DoA responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply concepts and cost accounting
  • Proficient at Microsoft office, other tools such as power Bi helpful
  • Highly experienced in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Proficient knowledge Group consolidation systems and tools as well as IFRS understanding
  • Fluency in English. Spoken and written Chinese would be helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to present effectively and be able to work with multiple cultures, seniority, and cross functional teams
