Role purpose

• Provide continuous improvement expertise for the design and execution of long term Continuous Improvement strategy.
• Sets the direction to create and embed continuous improvement as part of our culture.
• Identifies solutions to increase manufacturing capacity, improve hse and quality and/or reduce manufacturing costs at crop protection sites, supporting stability and robustness testing at pilot scale and provides technical guidance to the bulk supply chain.

Accountabilities

• Clear focus on 5s, KPI, visual management, continuous improvement tools (PDCA, etc)
• Provides in depth continuous improvement expertise to deliver strategic objectives.
• Manage and prioritizes resources to deliver the portfolio of projects.
• Sets stretch targets at Site level to drive Continuous Improvement.
• Ability to implement a Continuous Improvement mind-set.
• Effectively leads and manages complex changes and transformations across the site and functions.
• Trained others in CI tools and techniques
• Implemented Management Disciplines across a site
• Contributed effectively to build a strong pipeline of productivity projects and opportunities
• Work on the design and scope of expansion and optimization projects. Support the execution of capital investment projects at the site. Participate in the process definition in crop protection capital projects, including process plant design and equipment evaluation and specification
• Ensure the execution of change management in the implementation of improvements.
• Build a network with internal and external manufacturing sites.
• Monitoring daily process in term of performance & efficiencies, investigate operational problems affecting production (process conditions, physical-chemical parameters) and manage corrective deviations. Generate a technical development plan focused on process improvements and robustness opportunities the new product introduction process, supporting organization of production start-up.
• Providing and executing experimental programs aimed at resolving routine technical problems observed during full scale manufacture. Provide instruction and train operational staff.
• Improves manufacture on a production line in terms of efficiency, capacity, sustainability, safety or operability within the framework of the originally defined process. Improve existing operations bringing in new methods, processes and technologies (define scope, evaluate technologies options and manage small projects implementation)
• Identifies solutions to reduce manufacturing costs and/or improve operability and/or to improve yield or minimise losses
• Implement Manufacturing Excellence Initiatives (sustainability, smart manufacturing , operational discipline)

• Chemical, Production or Mechanical Engineer
