Fork Lift Operator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator (Preferably Electric Reach Truck) to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating technical equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient handling and storage of agricultural goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts /reach truck and other warehouse machinery to move goods and materials around the premises.
• Load and unload deliveries from trucks or storage facilities, ensuring that products are stored correctly.
• Working in Cold Store would a plus point.
• Perform daily equipment checks, such as recharging the forklift's battery or refueling its tank.
• Stack and organize large bulk items, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with all safety and OSHA regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of inventory movements to ensure precise tracking of goods.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and management to ensure efficient workflow and address any discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification & Valid License.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with agricultural products and warehouse procedures is a plus.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

Skills:

• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to handle heavy loads up to 1.5 to 2 tons of pallet.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic math skills for inventory management.
