Financial Reporting Manager

• Manage monthly accounting & financial reporting activities in compliance with Syngenta’s policies & procedures.
• Closely work with regional accounting team & ensure all month-end close activities are performed in timely & quality manner.
• Work on monthly BS account reconciliations & ensure completion within the specified timelines & with desired quality in accordance with Syngenta Internal Control Framework.
• Review journals including but not limited to prepaid, accruals & provisions at month end, associated internal controls & checks.
• Prepare ad-hoc and routine accounting / management information & quality financial analysis.
• Execution of Internal Controls in accordance with Syngenta Internal Control Framework.
• Prepare financial reports and interpret financial information to identify process gaps & recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure stakeholder queries are attended to and resolved in a timely, responsible & proactive manner.
• Act as primary point of contact for all the escalations related to in-scope processes & comply with company’s policies and local laws and regulations.
• Participate in compliance & controls audits and respond to audit queries.
• Drive local process improvement initiatives and support regional initiatives.
• Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met on time and with accuracy.
• Coordinate insurance renewals, claims & payments & manage any insurance related queries.
• Manage the statutory & tax audits; provide necessary data to internal & external stakeholders.
• Extensive working knowledge of IFRS & relevant tax knowledge (corporate income tax & sales/services tax) & applicable local laws & regulations.
• Able to deliver quality output while meeting timelines.
• Lead team members through knowledge transfer, experience and best practices thereby ensuring quality output.
• Operationally performing activities as well as supporting and leading a small team of accountants.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Management Accountant with 6 – 8 years of industry experience
• Proficient in using SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
