The Financial Operations Analyst will:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast future performance, and provide actionable insights for operational efficiency.
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand operational processes and their financial implications.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize costs and enhance revenue generation.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Accountabilities

  • Accurately analyze and report on financial performance and trends 
  • Work independently to manage financial analysis projects, providing timely and relevant insights 
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand operational impacts on finances 
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies in all financial operations 
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize financial processes and systems 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, operations analysis, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, performance reporting and forecasting.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and databases.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and software (e.g., Excel, SAP).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software systems.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities.
  • Ability to influence decisions through insightful financial analysis.
  • Capable of leading financial analysis projects and guiding junior team members.
