Financial Analyst

Role Purpose

To support that challenge, our Finance Team is currently seeking to welcome a new Analyst into the Finance Team as they partner with our Production leadership in our US Crop Protection production sites.  The position will be located at the St. Gabriel, LA site.

Accountabilities

• Ensure the accurate development and maintenance of all standard product costs for the St. Gabriel plant
• Participate in the control of the St. Gabriel costs by providing management with effective cost analyses utilizing comparisons of actual performance to standards and budgets
• Review and report on monthly raw material efficiency variances
• Perform relevant cost analyses as required using budget versus actual comparisons or historical data
• Provide direction to annual physical audit and implement resolutions to any findings related to cost accounting
• Perform accurate and timely month-end close activities and serve as back-up for other month-end functions
• Support fixed cost analyses and reconciliations as required
• Support documenting finance process at the St. Gabriel and Omaha sites

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field of study
• 3 years accounting/finance experience
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, modelling and benchmarking
• Experience with standard financial analysis tools, i.e., NPV, risk assessment, and value creation.

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively on a cross functional basis while providing decision support services
• Ability to create and communicate ad hoc financial analysis
• Ability to develop business cases that identify and drive process improvement
• Ability to challenge the status quo and effectively gain adoption of change
• Knowledge of SAP
