To support that challenge, our Finance Team is currently seeking a Finance Lead, Global Seeds Production and Supply and Projects. As a Finance Lead, you will provide finance support to members of the Seeds Production and Supply (P&S) Leadership Team regarding their global strategy and operations. Additionally, you will provide finance support to the larger Seeds Business Leadership Team (SBLT) on strategic projects, business cases, and key processes. The preferred locations included are: Downers Grove, Illinois or surrounding areas in the Midwest Region.


You will help shape the future of agriculture by:

  • Providing financial analysis and insights to ensure all business decisions are supported by robust, timely information and with the full understanding of the financial impact and potential risks, while ensuring various scenario models are considered
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial analysis and reports for the Global Seed Operations organization and investigating variances to expectations
  • Coordinating and managing the inventory reporting process for the Global Seeds organization
     

Qualifications

Accountabilities 

  • Support the regions with annual and bi-annual Seeds Production Planning
  • Proactively provide financial modeling, analysis and decision support on business cases, cost and capital decisions for the P&S and Research and Development (R&D) organizations
  • Aid in influencing the business strategy and decision making by providing financial expertise and challenging business views
  • Aid in identification and support of continuous improvement projects  
  • Where possible, use an innovative style of reporting which anticipates, challenges, and supports the business for addressing opportunities
  • Support global Mergers and Acquisitions and commercial collaboration activities with financial modelling, scenario planning, and valuation methodologies
  • Support ad-hoc projects to drive the long-term growth, efficiency, and sustainability of the Global Seeds business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree, preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in finance business partnering, business case creation, and financial modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to help shape and influence global strategies
  • Ability to quickly identify key financial risks or benefits related to business decisions
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and understand the critical levers that lead to improved financial performance

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience collaborating across multiple business functions to achieve end results that have significant impact to the business
  • Ability to challenge incorrect business assumptions and communicate complex business and finance data, to generate decision making
  • Demonstrated forward-thinking mindset that generates multiple options to solve problems
  • Demonstrated experience influencing people from different levels of the organization and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively, communicate financial impacts of complex business decisions and influence senior leadership
