Role purpose
•To process sales orders and ensure delivery to customers within agreed time frame.
•To attend customers enquiries on delivery schedules & other matters & maximize transport loads.
•Coordinate logistics and administration activities to ensure accurate inventory processing in the warehouse for delivery under the stipulated local and export country regulations

Accountabilities

Stakeholder engagement
•Accurate and prompt processing of sales orders with right pricing and discount structure as well as effective transport arrangements to customers  
•Monitor and align outstanding orders - develop SAP reports required by Supply and Commercial department
•Produce required report related to Customer Service function to support business decision making
•Liaise with export and shipping companies to arrange collection of goods and working closely with the dispatch team to ensure smooth dispatch of goods to customers
•Additional responsibilities include supporting the Purchasing, Production and Logistic teams with administration duties. Communicate risks and concerns to allow for recovery planning

Qualifications

Stock management
•Control and monitor finished goods age analysis, batch dispatched correctly. Support stock count activities. Support with GRN’s for warehouse.
•Reconcile stock dispatched.
•Support related warehousing activities (inventory, stock count process, loading, etc.)
•Ensure all exported items are correctly classified
•Exports and imports documents processing

Create shippers and export documentation for each shipment leaving the site
•Preparation and dispatch of truck vehicles
•Create appropriate labels using inline shipping tools
•Identify shipping risks and monitor recovery where required
•Support Logistics and Production Team Leaders with all relevant paperwork and admin duties
•Log all action taken in relation to shipping and export documentation on the company’s ERP system 

Admin
•Collation and processing of deliveries both local, imports and exports
•Administration and processing of shipment details and transport documents
•Production of department KPI's
•Consignment route planning
•Trailer yield maximisation
•Arrange domestics and international shipments for customer
•Prepare documents for exports on all modes (ocean, air and road) for customs clearance
•Handle customer enquiries and resolve customer complaint.
•Process customer orders and monitor the order process

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities

Critical qualification
•A B-Degree in Logistics or alternative Administration related qualification 
•A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in road / sea and air export or import operations 
•IATA Cat 6 would be advantageous

Critical knowledge & Experience
•European and African geographical knowledge 
•Transport legislation and Dangerous goods knowledge
•Customs knowledge would be highly beneficial
•Good SAP knowledge & experience (beneficial)
•Knowledge in Import / Export and custom clearance
•Undertanding of warehouse principles and stock principles
•Commercial awareness
•Forklift experience (beneficial)
•Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (advantageous)
•Knowledge of Incoterms 2020
