We have an excellent opportunity our Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre for an Engineering Maintenance Manager. You will manage a small team including Technicians, Planners and Asset Engineers to deliver the cost-effective maintenance of site plant & equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations in alignment with Syngenta HSE, UK regulations and production demands.
Working closely with the Area Production Manager, you will ensure the roles of Asset Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors and Asset planners are delivered to ensure the site and equipment is maintained and available for use, with minimal downtime as a result of breakdowns. You will share and adopt best practices, while focusing on continuous improvement.
Qualifications and required experience
- Solid experience in managing maintenance teams/functions within relevant sectors (Chemical production, Utilities, FMCG, Fine Chemicals etc.).
- Degree within a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical engineering etc)
- Experience in leading multi-skilled maintenance/engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) practices and leads by example in all HSEQ-related matters.
