About this opportunity:

The EAME Logistics Support provides support for the EAME logistics analytical team running reports, transfer data and updates reports as required to support logistics operations and projects. It also manages several tasks which are not managed via the 4PL such as invoice control for services and ensures the annual limit POs are controlled and set up and communicated before year end expiry.

You will be accountable for:

·       Creating and running operational reports and conducting analysis to support ELOM operational teams

·       Taking initiatives for process improvement and cost savings project

·       Approving invoices and monitoring cost spent for all services which are contracted from Crop Protection Logistics and does not fall under the 4PL or warehousing responsibility

·       Acting as a key contact for Ariba procurement within ELOM (creating PO requisitions, initiating opening of new vendors, checking incoming invoices)

·       Ensuring that warehousing and logistic data sets are up-to date and maintaining them if necessary.

 Skillset required for the role:

Be an operational, hands-on person with the ability to lead oneself and collaborate across boundaries

Be decisive and quick-thinking with an excellent ability to dig into details while bringing a generic straight forward and understandable story line for leaders to take decision based on eventual recommendations or highlights

Has in-depth understanding on who is doing what within Syngenta

Have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work in a complex and highly matrix organization

Lead through collaboration, interaction and influencing

 Knowledge & experience:

Knowledge:

·       Numerate and literate (GCSE Math’s grade C/ grade 4 or equivalent)

·       Fluent in English, both orally and in writing – any other language would be a plus

·       Supplier management expertise desirable

 Experience:

  • Used to work in a complex, cross functional business environment
  • Advanced MS office skills including advanced excel and BI report writing skills
  • High level of data entry accuracy
  • High attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency, balanced, with sense of priorities
  • Good knowledge of processes linked to logistics (e.g. warehousing, customs, order management) and practices of SAP SD/MM would be desirable

 Experience to be gained in the role:

·       Ability to set direction and drive external party processes managing (sub) contractors for the service, financial and compliance benefit of Syngenta and its customers

·       Ability to build trust and influence internal functional staff/teams and external parties
