Please note: This position will support the Southeast United States region. Optimal support location for this role is in the Florida area.

Role Purpose:

  • Generate sales leads through online, phone, in-person and public presentations.
  • Close sales leads via online, phone, and in-person using discovery, presentation, offer, and closing tactics.
  • Serve as first level of customer support for existing customer base, Syngenta SPS Territory and technical managers.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with SPS customers and SPS territory manager as field expert in Syngenta Digital Platform offers.
  • Generate leads for large volume sales with Key Account Manager.

Accountabilities:

  • Generate revenue in US regional golf, lawn, sports field, ornamental, and landscape markets with Syngenta Digital Platform offers.
  • Introduce and represent Syngenta Digital Platform business to golf, lawncare, sports field, ornamental, and landscape businesses across the designated region and US.
  • Independently conduct business meetings and events intended to grow the Syngenta Digital Platform within the region.
  • Create opportunities to collaborate with colleagues to promote and support growth of Syngenta’s Digital Platform business in the US as part of the larger SPS team.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role (preferably in turfgrass management and/or similar agronomy-related degree)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role
  • Up to 50% travel is required for this role during peak business season
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship support from Syngenta

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience working on golf course maintenance team as a golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent
  • Significant experience working with application-based productivity software across multiple operating systems
  • Ability to learn and utilize different current digital platforms, e.g. operating systems, desktop/mobile phone/tablet applications, firmware and hardware equipment
  • Knowledge of agronomic principals for growing plants. Turfgrass and ornamental plant knowledge preferred.
  • Golf course management or lawncare operation management experience
  • Willingness to work in turfgrass and landscape environment, utilizing tools and hands to dig in soil, while maintaining professional attitude and appearance relative to the environment
