To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Marketing team is currently seeking a Digital Agriculture Solutions Marketing Lead in Greensboro, NC.

The Digital Agriculture Solutions (DAS) Marketing Lead role will lead the development of DAS marketing offers and strategies featuring Cropwise digital tools and services, contribute to the development of the DAS 5 Year Marketing Plan and develop strategies for inclusion in the Commercial Unit (CU) campaigns to drive business results.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead development of DAS marketing offers and programs to implement the DAS strategy consistently across Product Marketing, CU Marketing, KAM (Key Account Management) and Sales to embed digital strategies into the commercial unit campaigns.
  • Develop marketing materials, conduct Advertising and Promotional activities and attend trade shows to drive awareness of Syngenta’s Cropwise ecosystem and associated capabilities and benefits to channel partners and growers.
  • Develop excellent value propositions and positioning for Cropwise Protector and Cropwise Imagery for growers, channel partners and independent advisors.
  • Ensure alignment between Global Digital Agriculture (DA) and DAS teams in regard to proof of concept and pilot projects.
  • Lead development of the DAS 5 Year Marketing Plan and GTM strategies.
  • Lead collaboration across a diverse group of cross functional stakeholders to establish effective ways of working and communication to ensure delivery of key DAS projects with on target completion dates; request the necessary resources to take remedial action when off track.
  • Explore and drive DAS value offer enhancements and delivery platforms to create new value for grower and channel partners.
  • Monitor the digital competitive landscape, complete and maintain current digital competitive profiles and supports CU Marketing and Commercial teams with competitive intel.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an agricultural or business-related field).
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience, preferably in Ag related.
  • Up to 30% domestic travel is required for this role.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship support from Syngenta.

Preferred:

  • Comprehension and utilization of the Marketing and Sales Excellence (MaSE) methodology.
  • Excellent understanding of agronomic assessment, crop production, utilization of farm management systems, effective stewardship practices and ag distribution channel alignment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, consensus building, and analytical skills complimented by excellent written, oral communication and presentation ability, including the confidence and competence to influence Senior Management thinking and gain approval of innovative ideas.
  • Acute business acumen with validated ability to comprehend business drivers, challenges and potential obstacles and develop effective solutions employing Syngenta digital tools or services to create value added programs and offers.
  • Proficiency in customer focused account management activities such as: identifying potential growth opportunities; conducting thorough and accurate needs assessments and experience in developing and implementing successful go-to-market strategies.
