Data Scientist Internship (6 months)

This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our Global Process Technology Digitalization Strategy while driving business value through data analysis. You will be responsible for automating data analysis, creating data-driven insights and visualizations, and leading the implementation of data science projects. Accountabilities:

• Lead the implementation of data science prototypes and projects, supporting our digitalization initiatives.
• Support the development of automatic data collection and experiments protocoling tools to streamline data analysis processes.
• Assist in automating data analysis in laboratories and production plants, improving efficiency and accuracy.
• Visualize and communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to promoting a culture of digitalization and automation in laboratory and production environments.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Chemical) Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python programming language, including experience with PyTorch, pandas, and Hugging Face.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning projects, demonstrated through GitHub repositories, medium posts, deployed applications, or other relevant work.
• Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies, such as SQL databases and data lakes.
• Experience in project management and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent proficiency in English, with proficiency in German, French, or other languages as a plus.
