Syngenta Crop Protection Project and Portfolio Management (CPD PPM) is seeking a passionate and skilled Data Analyst/Scientist to join our dynamic Digital & Analytics team. This is a hybrid Data Analysis/Data Science role in which you would be at the forefront of data-driven project & portfolio management, driving strategic decision-making and maximizing value creation.

As a specialist in the PPM team, you will play a pivotal role in generating insights through portfolio data management and analysis, developing models based on historical data, and enabling scenario testing for predicted outcomes. You will support the use of portfolio and project management tools, improve data quality, and extract additional value from diverse data sources. Additionally, you will contribute to digital transformation, exploring new technologies and innovating data capture and analysis methodologies.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant field (STEM, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, IT etc.).
  • Experience in Project and Portfolio management & analytics, preferably within a related industry (Agrochemical, Life Sciences, Pharma etc).
  • In-depth knowledge of data (advanced) analytics methods and tools (ie, QlikSense, SQL & Python), probabilistic modeling and Data Science.
  • Machine learning, NLP, Generative AI knowledge/experience is desirable.
  • A keen interest in new technology, with critical thinking and passion for cutting edge data science algorithms in portfolio analytics, with deep appreciation of the value and opportunities in predictive science and digital. 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across all levels of seniority across multiple geographies.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to translate complex data into added-value, business-oriented value.
  • Proactive with the ability to work autonomously, regularly with ambiguity / complexity / uncertainty.
