D&A Visualization and Analytics Platform Lead

Purpose

Syngenta is seeking an experienced Global Visualization and Analytics Platform Lead based in Pune, India.

The BI and Platform Lead will be primarily responsible for managing the organization’s enterprise visualization platform - Qlik Sense, Qlik Cloud along with other Visualization Platforms such as PowerBI, Pyramid etc.

The visualization platforms @ Syngenta support Approx. 12000 business users globally for their day to day operational as well as strategic decision making. 

In this role, the Executive  will be responsible for  defining the strategic road map for Visualization @ Syngenta, positioning of various platforms, budget management  and provide a leadership to the Platform teams, provide a governance to various project delivery teams,.

EXPERIENCE

• Overall 12+ years of Experience with at least 3-5 years of experience of managing Enterprise Visualization platforms
• Hands-on Experience in DW/BI/ETL preferred.
• Experience working with the Qlik Sense and other visualization platforms like PowerBI, Pyramid in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Technical Lead experience  with strong stakeholder management skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver a forward looking Front-end BI & Analytics Platforms strategy and Roadmap for the enterprise to support current and future business needs and bring people on board across the organization.
• Manage the Team of external supplier partners as well as internal Syngenta Team to Ensure Platform Stability with Quick Issue Resolution, Proactive recommendation for avoiding future issues with RCA. Audit system configuration periodically and make adjustments in order to optimize overall system performance. Optimize overall Visualization platform reducing system resource usage.
• Spread the Data literacy awareness to drive Data Driven Culture in the organization 
• Develop and apply change management process with quality checks of the applications. Provide a Governance during Release management process to ensure the PROD system health.
• People Focus –  Motivating the team for the Quality Delivery and On time Delivery , empathetic towards their concerns , aspirations to enable their growth along with the growth of the service delivery , business outcomes 
• Change Management & Transformation - manage a complex (Business & Digital) social environment and knows how and when to influence; also grows the services and business partnership. Lead organizational change by removing obstacles and ensuring capabilities in place to embed change
• Stakeholder Management and Customer Focus   - having a strong inclination to understand business / stakeholder’s needs, pain-points and enable the platform for their needs - be it for self-service or migrate to a “strategic” tool or guide them for a suitable tool for their needs.
• Bigger Picture -  good at understanding the organizational context both at a large scale, Business Unit (CP, SE) and more local country level and can modify approaches accordingly; Defining Design Standards and Guidelines, Create awareness in the organization on the Best Practices through Community of Practice.

• Collaboration with External teams and various vendors partner teams, expected to actively seek understanding and alignment on strategic and tactical priorities and adapt accordingly
• Agile Scrum / DevOps skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
